Outside diameter are undersized after plating.

Q. Please help us regarding this issues below.
Part name : Connector Conduit
Material : Cold Rolled Steel Per ASTM A108,Grade 12L14
Size : OD 0.9905~0.9912 x 0.945 x Threads Per ASME B1.20.1-1983
1.Machining Size.
OD 0.9905 ~ 0.9912
2.After Brazing Size.
OD 0.9890 ~ 0.9907
3.After Plating Size.
OD 0.9900 ~ 0.9924
Result after being follow the 3 process the Outside Diameter become small and undersized.
The sizes was OD 0.9884 ~ 0.9898
Will you help and guide us why this matter happens and which process has been effect the undersized condition.

Hi, Hazani.
You did not mention what kind of plating you are applying, or its thickness -- but plating increases the outside diameter, it does not decrease it. So the problem is that the parts were undersized before plating.
