Basic requirements for setting up shot blasting of metal

Hi, my name is Alan Wong, live in Malaysia. I would like to seek your valuable advise of setting up a steel shot blasting plant in Malaysia for blasting I beam (40 feet) and steel Blade (8 feet by 20 feet). What are the basic machine requirements you need to purchase and the standards I need to look into. Your prompt reply is very much appreciated.

Your parts are pretty big and heavy, but you probably have handling equipment for these items. If you have a lot of volume, your might want to consider a pass through system with multiple heads to work all of the areas of the part on a continuous basis. On a more economical side you may want to consider building a blast room and use one person to manually apply media. Make sure you make provisions for reclaiming media.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
