-----Fatigue test specimen polishing
Hi,
Im trying to make some fatigue test specimen to conduct a fatigue test for a research at UBC.
The required surface roughness is 0.2 micrometer and the finish has to be parallel to the axis of the test specimen (according to ISO).
I can produce the initial shape of the specimens on a CNC lathe; however, polishing them is becoming a challenge because of the direction.
Could you please give me some hint.
Thanks

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
