-----Does electrolytic cyanide strip cause hydrogen embrittlement?
We regularly bake items that are stripped. I am wondering if the bake is necessary. It seems the hydrogen created would be on the cathode. Does anyone know of any studies using notched tensile or stress ring tests investigating HE issues stripping copper and silver in cyanide solutions off of high strength steel?
