Function of solution components in Electroless Nickel Plating

I am having three doubts in Electroless plating
1. How the stabilizer works in plating solution without affecting the coating
2. Why Phosphorus content is decreasing when pH is increased?
3. Why hardness of Ni-P is more than electroplated Ni? (HPEN harness is less than LPEN)
