Finger marks in trivalent blue passivation

We are doing acid zinc plating. After plating we do trivalent blue chromating. After 24 hrs curing time when we handle the plate we suffer due to finger marks in the plate. How to solve the problem? Kindly advise me.

Hi, Siva.

This question is as perennial as the grass. We will tell you the answer, but you will probably say: "We can't do that because . . ."

So please search the site for "fingerprint" or "finger mark", and you will see that everybody has the same question, everybody gets the same answer, every inquirer says they can't do it, but eventually they do :-)

The answer is, even after a day for curing, handlers have to wear gloves :-)

Good luck and Regards,
