-----Epoxy paint removal from in-situ purlins
I have a need to remove a failing paint system from sheet rails and purlins in a completed steel shed. The paint is a PU finish over an epoxy base coat on a standard galvanised member. Gauge 1.5 mm.
Is it possible, or practical, to consider sweep blasting the members to remove the paint? Will this damage the galvanizing and the member itself? I understand that shielding will be required to protect the cladding.
