Can my Yamaha's cracked titanium pipe be gas welded?




I have a Yamaha yz 450f. My header has a crack in it. it is titanium. Can this pipe be gas welded?

Don't know what you mean by gas welding. Titanium is generally GTAW (TIG argon) welded. G. Marrufo

Titanium is usually welded with Tig process. Special precautions are used above normal for TIG. Inside may have to be purged with argon. Outside may have to use a trailing gas nozzle or you may have to weld it in a sealed and purged "glove box" . Also sensitive to overheating I understand.
