-----Coefficient of friction for Manganese Phosphate coated Metal
August 9, 2011
Does anyone know how the coefficient of friction of Steel compares with that of Manganese coated Steel in Dry condition. Any reference to research papers or any source would be greatly appreciated.
This becomes important when clamp on or shrink fitted connections are used with phosphated Bores in Couplings. the torque carrying capacity of these may be affected by coefficient of friction.
Thanks
