Lacquer coating for CZ jewelry

Dear All,
I run a imitation jewelry shop mostly sells brass with gold flash plating product. From what I read from this forum, a layer of lacquer would help protecting the color duration from perspiration or other factor.
If all my jewelry already set with cubic zirconia stone on it (means the product already in the final stage of production), will the application of lacquer blocks out the stone's luster?
In this case, what would be the best way to apply the lacquer? Or a more general question is; what is the best way to elongate the plating life time.
If it is a redundant question, please refer to the relevant thread. Thank you for your help.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
