-----Black Oxide coating when used with lasers
April 12, 2011
I have been asked the question on the safety of using Black Oxide instruments in the use of laser surgery. Question will the black coating color defuse the laser beam to the point of it not being a danger to the patient or person in the room. CO2 laser - when it hits the surface of the black oxide instrument the beam will be absorbed or defused by the black color.
Any one have information on this or where I can find it.
Thanks
