Alternatives to silver brazing for connecting copper to aluminum?

I am working in a smelter company. We need to weld copper tab to aluminium bus bar. For this we are brazing silver on copper as otherwise welding is not possible. We are searching alternatives of this as silver is a costly metal. Please suggest methods to weld copper and silver. Also do tell me any method available to recover silver, once the copper tab is removed.
