Gold plating & magnetism effects

I want to know does a flash gold plating on SS 316 threaded rod make the rod magnetic in behaviour? What causes this change in property?

Hi, Shyam.

I would say that gold plating does not make stainless steel magnetic. Why do you think that it might?
