Barrel Gold Plating on ABS

Is it possible to gold plate on small parts in ABS in barrels ? Thanks

ABS plastic? Do the parts float in the finishing solution? If so, how about a plating machine that would keep the parts held against the side of a perforated barrel by centrifugal force, for a duty cycle, then stop the barrel, let the parts fall and mix, then spin them up against the sides again and plate some more until the plating thickness is achieved?
