-----Seeking white PVD coating
Q. Hi, I have been using PVD coating for our stainless steel products for some time. With this technology, you can get many different colours from dark gray to silver. My question is if it's possible to get a milky white colour with PVD? I appreciate any comment.

A. Best bet would be titanium or aluminum oxide. Thin coatings are likely to be transparent. Thicker coatings should be white (depending on impurities etc) like the bulk oxides. But it is difficult deposit them. You may need dual magnetron sputtering with bipolar power supplies.
