Safety Manual for Electroplating

As a Loss Control Specialist for a private Insurance Agent, I'm involved in helping commercial clients become more of an "insurable risk". I've a client that has asked me to assist them in improving their Safety Manual. Can anyone provide me with a copy of an Electroplating Industry Safety Manual?

Hi, Kevin.

There is no such book that I'm aware of at this time, but there are booklets and technical articles. Inquire of NASF at www.nasf.org if they still have "Safety Tips for Operators of Metal Finishing Equipment", which is a booklet I wrote for them about 15 years ago, and of which they distributed thousands of copies. A literature search will produce many articles like Frank Altmayer's "Safety in Surface Finishing", printed in P&SF in 1991, and countless others. Metal Finishing Information Services in Birmingham England can do a lit search for you.
