Gasket Adhesion Issues On Urethane Polyester Powder Coat
We are having gasket adhesion issues on Urethane Polyester Powder Coat. According to our gasket vendor no changes have been made in the adhesive. The adhesive is tacky and initially adheres to the powder coated part. All seems fine but after application in 2 hours the gasket falls completely off the part. The time from the bake oven to assembly has been reduced to just a few hours which may be the root cause of the problem. Has anyone dealt with similar issues?

From your post I gather that you powder coat some metal item and after baking (once it has cooled down) you apply a (fibre or foam) gasket. I would suggest that instead of seeking why, you need to quickly inform your adhesive supplier to produce a product that works for your current operation.
