Trying to find best coating for snaphooks

I have Zinc diecast Snaphooks that I need a dull black coating applied to the hook.
These hooks are going to be used outside and get alot of use.
Which would be best?
Powder coat or Electroplating?
And why?

Dear Renee Miller,

On Zinc die casting, for the Black appearance, Electroplating vs. Powder coating depends on the part profile. if you are going to face any dimensional problem after powder coating, go for zinc electroplating with Black passivation. In this case passivation alone, without electroplating, is also possible.

if you are not having any concern for the dimensions, go for powder coating also.
