-----Stainless steel plating onto brass
We build tanks that are exposed to potassium acetate and potassium citrate liquid. These tanks have several fittings made of brass which over time is showing signs of corrosion. Is it possible to plate brass fittings with stainless steel? I need a surface that is compatible to these chemicals and stainless steel seems to be the only one or at least the obvious one.

Hi, Gerardo. No, it is not possible to electroplate stainless steel onto other materials, but you may find electroless nickel plating to be compatible with these chemicals.
