Help with my copper kitchen table which discolors with every spill

Hello, I am in need for some advice with my Copper table as every time my kids spill and I don't catch it right away it discolors my table. Is there something I can apply to it so water/liquids won't damage it? Appreciate your advice.

Hi, copper patina is a very fragile finish and is very sensitive to chemicals and acid solutions/food. BarrysRestoreItAll, the makers of Scratch-B-Gone for Stainless steel have a simple replacement solution kit to quickly and easily replace the brown/black patina on most copper sinks. In the kit is a small amount of wax designed specifically for copper and will help protect the finish. Good luck
