Electropolishing recipe for stainless steel [Norway]

I would like to know if somebody out there knows a recipe to set up an electropolishing bath for stainless steel.
I think the pre-made electrolyte is too expensive.

Hi, Jan. The Electroplating Engineering Handbook this on eBay, AbeBooks, or Amazon [affil link] has a great chapter on electropolishing of stainless steel, complete with a number of different recipes. Good luck.

Approach this with caution. There is no universal electropolish solution that is in the public domain. The solution needs to be the appropriate one for a series, such as 300 vs 400 vs high nickel and etc.
