Is SS304 okay for pharmaceutical manufacturing?

Q. Is SS304 used in contact with pharmaceutical product during the manufacturing process like the milling machine for oral solids production or for tablets press?

A. 304 and 316 are generally acceptable for this type of equipment but should be passivated before commissioning

A. I agree with Dailey. Since your process involves milling, make sure that the passivation quality is adequate and ensure the same periodically.
