Grit on Bright Nickel Electroplated Polished Brass Parts

We are experiencing what looks like a sprinkling of grit on our bright nickel electroplated finish over polished brass parts. What could be causing this condition? Please give us all your best ideas and experience. Thank you.

Hi, Gerri. If the sprinkling is only on "top" surfaces, it is called "shelf roughness" and is due to particulates in the bath. There may be something currently dysfunctional with your filter or anode bags ⇦ huh?.
