Need Uniform and Very Heavy Zinc Phosphate Coating for Drawn Wires

March 28, 2010

One of our customer has demanded for Coating Thickness of 6 microns min. on finish drawn wire. Previously we were processing wire in phosphate solution with parameters as TA - 18 to 22 & FA - 2 to 4, but to meet the requirement we have changed the parameter with higher concentration i.e. TA - 31 & FA - 5, even though we are no getting that much coating thickness, after cold drawing it is approx 3 to 5 and even the coating is non uniform. Kindly guide me
