Finger pain because of wedding band?

February 16, 2010

I've been married for 10 years and in this ten years have bought my husband 4 wedding bands - silver, gold, platinum and some cheap thing for $10.
The thing is he complains of joint pain in his finger and hand every now and then, sometimes very painful, sometimes just a dull ache.
Can somebody give me some insight on this, please?

Hi, Sunette. It sounds unlikely that it's a metal allergy, especially considering the four different bands. But a doctor would probably be more familiar with the possibilities -- perhaps tendon strain, knuckle "pointer", or arthritis than we would be. Give him a nice bling ring for his right hand and see if he tolerates that better :-)
