Make-up instructions for ASTM B-633 plating

Hello Community,

I currently am searching for the make-up instuctions to create me own ASTM B633 chromate bath. When I pull up the actual ASTM spec it doesn't say anything about how to make it. I currently am running a MIL-C-5541 chromate line.

Does anyone know where I can find these instuctions? Or in which direction I should be looking?

Thanks,

Wes O.

Wes,

Chromates these days are mostly all proprietary. Contact a plating chemical vender, buy some chromate and use the tech sheet for instructions on make-up.

Hi Wes,
Follow Trent's suggestion.By the way, ASTM B633 is for Standard specification for electrodeposited coating of zinc on Iron and Steel. I don't understand what that got to do with your Mil-C-5541 chromate line.
