Air Agitation for an anodizing tank

January 28, 2010

What is the best method of agitation for a small anodise bath (1379 mm wide 650 mm deep 740 mm high)?
At present we are using a drilled rectangular 25 mm galvanised steel ring but we're experiencing problems with air agitation ⇦ huh? near the bottom of the bath.

If you can, find a copy of the Metal Finishing Guidebook. It has a section that explains agitation perfectly.

If you want more specific help, you need to tell us what type of anodizing you are performing and more details about your current agitation system. Using galvanized steel pipe in an anodizing bath is a bit puzzling.

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
