Alternative for Silver Coating

My company currently produces Wireless Radio Frequency Filters. Many of these filters have a steel cases, and we silver coat these case for conductivity, corrosion resistance, and soldering applications. I am currently researching other platings to use as an alternative. I need all of these characteristics, but something that has a lower cost. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I am assuming you are using steel lids for EMI shielding which is common. Nickel plate may be an alternative for your need. If you need better conductivity, a copper plate plus a nickel plate on top will work. We can help in both cases.

Whyo Tech. offers a silver replacement electroplate. It is less expensive than silver plate alone, it resists tarnish and is as being used extensively in the RF industry. Give us a call if you would like to know more.
