Silver turned white during cleaning?




Q. I was cleaning a new piece of antique silver wired cloisonne with ammonia ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] when portions of the fine silver wire began turning white.I have never had this happen after decades and hundreds of pieces.

Q. Do you now how I can get the silver wire to look silver again?

Q.
