-----Can palladium be rhodium plated?
Q. I recently got a new wedding ring setting, and per my jeweler's recommendation I decided to go with palladium for the metal. I am happy with the new setting, but I'm not sure I'm crazy about the color of the palladium. It's a little more greyish than my other white gold pieces. I'm wondering if it would be possible to have it rhodium plated to make it a brighter white color?

A. Hi, Dana. I don't see any reason why not. Good luck.

A. It's a little tricky compared to rhodium plating onto white gold because of palladium's affinity for hydrogen but it certainly can be done with the very same set up.
