Remove clear coat from the head light lens

2006

I need to remove clear coat from the head light lens of my car it left a dull finish. I have tried acetone on eBay or Amazon [affil links] Warning! Flammable! , lacquer thinner on eBay or Amazon [affil links] Warning! flammable! , paint remover.

Most late model headlight lenses are plastic, not glass, Carlo. I'd probably be surprised if they could survive acetone, lacquer thinner on eBay or Amazon [affil links] Warning! flammable! , and paint remover without being damaged by them and leaving a dull finish. Sorry.
