Triple Salt and Quadra Flux Densities?
Quickstart:
Before steel parts are dipped into a hot-dip galvanizing tank for zinc coating, they must be dipped in a flux tank for activation. Several different flux formulations are possible including 'triple salt' and 'quadraflux'.

Q. Dear All,
I want to know what is the density or (baumé) for the Triple Salt flux and the Quadra Flux.
Thanks in advance for your all time valued support

A. Sir:
New (uncontaminated) triple salt flux has a density as follows:
baumé...Density g/L....Conc Kg/L....Conc Lb/US Gal
.10........1.0741.........0.151...........1.26.....
.15........1.1154.........0.247...........2.06.....
.20........1.1600.........0.365...........3.05.....
Triple salt consists of 54% ammonium chloride and 46% zinc chloride, thus having an ACN of 1.17 (ACN = ammonium chloride/zinc chloride).
New quadraflux has an ACN of 1.57 and has a baumé or density a bit lower than triple salt for a specific concentration.
