Effect of phosphating before heat treatment

sir,

I would like to know the effects of phosphating on Hot rolled coils. Whether phosphating effects in controlling gas ratios for spherodised annealing. do we end up with re-carb or de-carb after annealing just because the coils are coated with phosphate before annealing.

we are removing the rolling scales before annealing using chemical de scaling methods and after that doing phosphate coating to prevent rusting. whether this is really required.
