AlTiN stripping solution?

It is sometime very difficult to strip AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating of higher thickness from tool surface, can you suggest any such solution or chemical which helps in fast and easy decoating procedure of AlTiN.

I want to know the procedure and chemical composition for fast stripping ( within span of 1 hour) of AlTiN based coatings of gear coating tools.

Hi, folks. Please see letter 28850, which is also about stripping AlTiN. Letter 11499 is about stripping TiN coatings, and suggests hydrogen peroxide plus EDTA. That may be just as applicable for your AlTiN coatings. Good luck.
