How can I test anticipated life of Gold Plating products?
We are doing gold plating on brass material and rhodium coating around diamond surface on imitation jewelry. I would like to check or measure coating life (How much time or duration coating will be stuck on brass?) for our products.
So, please help me to find out best way that I can measure gold plating life period.

Gold over brass will not last long at all. The brass will migrate into the gold layer and will end up tarnishing in a short time, especially if the gold thickness is thin. If you want your products to last a reasonable time, a barrier plate such as nickel or white bronze is needed.
