Protecting a Pool Skimmer Lid against Chlorine

I've got a high end job where I'd like to use skimmer lids (see www.skimmerlid.com) that are made out of metal rather than plastic. Ideally they would match the rest of the hardware such as handrails and whatnot which is stainless steel. Unfortunately the lids only are available in Bronze and Aluminum.

The sample I've received using powder coat isn't a very good match for either color or texture (it look, well, painted). Anodizing apparently isn't appropriate since it won't hold up to chlorine.

I'm considering Chrome, but before I got route I was wondering if anyone had another suggestion? The natural bright aluminum color would be fine if I there was someway to preserve that. Even dull aluminum might be Ok just so long as there wasn't corrosion.

Besides chlorine the other issue to consider is abrasion as the lid is removed and replaced into the ring.

Thanks for any help.
