Paint chip off of fishing lures too easily

February 17, 2009

Hello I am painting some brass with model master paints. I was wondering if you had any ideas on if there was any clear coat finishes to make this paint chip proof. I am painting fishing lures and the paint chips very easy.
Thank you
Scott

Try thermoplastic coating... this can be carried out at home on a very small scale. Heat substrate 200C (I think?) and dip into cloud of powder - allow to cool - also used on lead weights.
