New to powder coating. Seeking all the info I can obtain.

Since I am just been hired as an employee of a major elevator manufacturer. Located in Grandview, Missouri, U.S.A. Their home base of operation's being at this location. I for now just have one question. Can I come to your website to be informed about about this technique called powder coating? Since I have no experience in this field and will need some place to turn to when a question or problem involving this process presents itself. I was hoping your web site responded to such requests. If you can please notify me with a simple reply. Thank you very much for your valuable time. Mr. Calvin Don Rose.

Hi, Calvin. You are certainly welcome to pose any question that you wish. But if you wish to make rapid progress, your learning needs to proceed in tutorial, programmatic fashion -- and that means you need to get a book or two on powder coating. In simplest terms, powder coating is similar to wet spray painting except that the "paint" is a finely divided plastic powder instead of finely divided droplets; that means that after you spray the parts with the powder, they must be heated to melt and fuse the powder. Good luck.
