Plasma nitriding vs. ion nitriding

Dear Sir/Madam

I am newcomer in plasma technology..
I want to ask:
1. Are ion nitriding and plasma nitriding the same thing or different?
2. Are there differences in the end product of plasma, between using DC pulsed and DC?
If different, what is the best to choose, DC or pulsed DC?

Pulse plasma nitriding advantage according to DC plasma nitriding;
1.less energy consuming
2.less time
3.less coat layer
