February 6, 2009

I have a customer that is asking for Anodize satin mask, black
spec is standard black anodize.....what makes "satin mask" finish?
How do we achieve this finish?

Denise Dick

First of two simultaneous responses --

Hi

Have you asked your customer if he means masking part of the surface?

Denise

Are sure it is not 'matte' rather than 'mask'?

Ask your customer for a sample of what he is referring to. Satin and matte are not high luster, but still not the same as each other.

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
