Achieving a hammertone texture in Powder Coating
January 29, 2009
I am Osveh from Iran I studied polymer and I have been working in powder coating for more than 6 years, nowadays I try to formulate some hammertone finish powdercoating but all of my effort doesn't work, if some body can help me or suggestion some texturing agent for powdercoating , I can also try to help him or her if I can do something
My system is 50/50 hybrid,
I tested cab powder with filler and without filler but I could not get a big texture all of them is fine , could you suggest me any other kind of texturing agent, also I tested powdermate508 tex from the troy company but I think because of my resins and their viscosity,I couldn't get the right response.

CAB is the right route... but depends upon the grade -- are you including a flow additive?
Try without or very low %.
