Plating carbon steel with stainless steel

Can carbon steel be plated (electroplated?) with stainless steel? This so to give the carbon steel a look as if it is stainless? If yes, is it a durable finish ?

Sorry, Robert, no it can't. However, steel can be cld with stainless steel. Please describe your situation and your interest in a stainless finish. Your posting is too abstract for me to be able to give you useful suggestions. Thanks.
