Difference between a virgin raw material and a reprocessed material

I am looking for the explanation of the difference between the virgin material (Cu alloy) and a reprocessed material. When we talked about the longevity of these two materials or about their respective properties, whether there is any change in both of them or not and if there is some change then how can we find it out.

If it is a true copper alloy and the recycled material has gone thru a proper remelt process, then they are the same IF you do a chemical analysis on each of them and they are the same. The aging has to be the same also.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
