Best method of Centrifugal Casting of Brass Rods
I am currently using conventional method to cast the brass rings centrifugally. I have lot of problems due to porosity and surface roughness and other things.
We are using sand before we pour the brass in the rotating roller.
Is this correct? What is the best method of CC? Is there any standard machine available for this purpose?

Hi, Jacob. This site focuses on finishing rather than casting, but we realize that problems often cross disciplines -- so maybe one of our knowledgeable readers can help you.

Maybe you should consider permanent molds made of cast iron instead of your actual sand molds. There are release agents to avoid sticking or welding of the brass to the mold. G. Marrufo-Mexico
