Resists for chemical milling mold texturing

December 18, 2008

1. Can somebody give me sourcing on mold texturing resists, Masking materials? Etc.
2. We could make a few artists and poor craft people be trained on mold texturing and make their quality of life improved.
3.We have being doing chemical milling more than 25 years. We live on it and like to pass and share this with this to the second generation.
4.Is there any book on mold texturing?
Thanks.

There are no books, literature or videos available for training on texturing. Most of this art has been kept fro over 40 years as a trade secret, passed on from generation to generation, as you said or sold as a franchise to interested individuals or companies. One small wholly owned texturing house once offered it for US$500,000 a whole package of patterns, master plates and recipes for resist and etchants. So, it's not chicken feed what you are looking for.
