Scratched chrome
We just remodeled our house and paid a company to rehang our large bathroom mirrors. In one of our bathrooms, it appears they propped the mirror on the faucet while hanging it, so now there is a large area on the top of the faucet where the chrome is scratched. Is there anything I can do to buff out the scratches on a chrome faucet?

The chrome is too thin to buff out on decorative chrome plating. Replace the faucet will be the cheapest and the most pain less. Check to see if the company will buy you a new faucet and you install it.

On newer installations buying and changing out a new faucet is your best bet. Unless it is one of those high dollar designer fixtures. Then you might want to consider replating. Or if the installation is older and does not change out conveniently , you may be better off having the faucet replated rather than having walls torn out and new lines run.
It just depends on your situation.
