ASTEC QP4412?

I have received a data-sheet from a OEM Supplier stating "Finish conforms to ASTEC Standard QP4412 (Tin Nickel Plating Specification). This is a tin plate that is being placed on a copper sheet. Does anyone know what this ASTEC Standard may be and where I could get it?

Hi Samuel,

Just to see what would happen, I googled "astec tin nickel" (without the quotation marks) and the first on the list of 2870 hits was www.astec-uk.com/c6free.htm which might be what you're looking for. Look as though they're very big in electroplating, conversion coatings, passivation and such things.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
