Replacing wheels. How are aftermarket wheels?

My present aluminum wheels need replacing (2001 Toyota Solara CV). Are there safe but more economical choices for replacement than OE? How do aftermarket wheels compare to OE? Suggestions for reliable suppliers of aftermarket wheels? Thanks, Carol

Why not have your own wheels refurbished? Look up a local powder coating company in your telephone business pages or post/pose the question here in the powder coating section. Then visit them to see if the finish they obtain meets with your approval. Requires shot blasting, if they use two coats (silver + clear), the final coat must be a polyester powder.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
