Copper plating

is there any way to use copper instead of copper sulphate [on eBay or Amazon]in plating? Would much prefer household chemicals if possible.I have a grandchild that loves science,I would like to keep her interested, but could use a little help. Thank you.

Hi, Jo. Our FAQ "How Electroplating Works" will explain how to copper plate (for demonstration purposes) with vinegar [in bulk on eBay or Amazon] and copper. Good luck.
