Where to Get Corrugated Metal Panels

September 27, 2008

I'm interested in using corrugated metal panels on my garage. I don't have doors on it. I need two panels which I would slide on a track. Any idea where I could get large panels,
roughly 8'WX12'H. Any other suggestion on which type of metal to use would be appreciated.
It can't be heavy though.

Thanks

First of two simultaneous responses --

You are not going to find affordable panels in that size.
Make a wood frame out of treated 1 x 4 and cross brace it with wire and turnbuckles. It should be light enough although you will probably have to double the wood at least part of the areas where the hangers are.

Second of two simultaneous responses --

Toni,
Try a roofing material supply house. They supply metal roofing panels which may suit your needs.
